Consultation : Transition Period Extension of ICES-002, Issue 6, for Diesel Engines

The purpose of this notice is to consult on extending the transition period past January 1, 2017 for the following Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) standard:

Interference-Causing Equipment Standard (ICES-002), Issue 6, Vehicles, Boats and Other Devices Propelled by an Internal Combustion Engine, Electrical Means or Both.

ISED is seeking comments on extending the transition period of ICES-002, within which compliance with either ICES-002 Issue 5 or ICES-002 Issue 6 will be accepted, until January 1st, 2018 for vehicles, boats and other devices propelled by diesel engines only.
