RF is Radio Frequency.  IF is Intermediate Frequency.
In a typical RF receiver design, RF is down-converted to IF first and then further amplifed before doing the demodulation.  This is a typical super-heterodyne design.  Sometimes, there could be 2 or even more IF frequencies.
